Amy Worth — Orinda, Board Member

Amy served on the Orinda City Council from 1998 until 2022 as a Council Member and five-time Mayor. She is a board member and past chair of Contra Costa Transportation Authority, Central Contra Costa Solid Waste Authority, Central Contra Costa Transit Authority, and Lamorinda School Bus Transportation Authority. She was also past Chair of the Metropolitan Transportation Commission. Committed to regional cooperation, Amy served as Chair of Contra Costa Mayors Conference and President of the League of California Cities, East Bay Division. She advocated in Sacramento on behalf of local government and transportation agencies, having served as Chair of the League of California Cities Policy Committee for Administrative Services and board member of the California Council of Governments. Prior to public office, Amy volunteered as Chair of Contra Costa Library Commission, VP of California Alumni Association, Board Member of UC Berkeley, Library Advisory Board, President of Friends of the Orinda Library, and President of Junior League of San Francisco. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Cal and a master’s from Cal State East Bay. Amy and her husband have three grown daughters.
